讓巴黎標誌性的凱旋門穿上“衣裳”，從而實現了已故保加利亞裔-法國地景藝術家賀理思和高萊徳（Christo & Jeanne-Claude）的畢生夢想。
此處遐邇馳名的地標被25,000平方米的銀藍色織物和3,000米長的紅色繩索（不言而諭的三色旗基調）完全包纏起來。將這座歷史豐碑頃刻間轉變成富動感但稍縱即逝的藝術作品---矗立在戴高樂廣場巍峨壯麗的凱旋門將隨風飄動磷光閃爍，其抖動的褶皺，讓雄偉的紀念碑立面別具感性…….
而凱旋門正前方下無名戰士墓前的不朽火焰，在整個藝術品的安裝、展示和拆除過程中，都在繼續莊嚴而肅穆地燃亮。
無需門票大眾即可觀賞、挨近和觸摸這件偉「大」的作品。
這次藝術鉅作構建過程也充份呈現法國與德國之間的密切聯繫：
3,000米的紅色聚丙烯纜繩是在一家德國公司的斯洛伐克工廠進行環編；
在德國韋爾道，藍色聚丙烯切片被拉伸噴紡成12,000公里的長絲；
然後這批紗線運到格雷文紡織廠織成 25,000 平方米的梭織物；
一旦完成織造工序，將運往赫爾博爾茨海姆。在該後整理廠中，在布匹的一面噴撒鋁粉作塗層加工，使織物呈藍底銀色；
因2019 年的聖母院火災導致巴黎當局收緊消防法規。材料必須作阻燃處理，項目團隊不得不再次對所有工序內容進行重新打樣。
這些底色為藍色具有金屬質感和反光效果的銀色機織布料由食品級聚丙烯製成，並且 100% 可回收。
與藝術家打交道的技術織物所面臨的最大挑戰是，需花費漫長時間進行反覆實驗才能確立最終顏色，以達到項目團隊獲得完全正確的感覺。
令人腕惜的是Christo 和 Jeanne-Claude 均未能目睹她的完成。
這個醞釀了60年的項目最終付諸實行，是對已故大師最祟高的致敬！
The wrapping of Paris' iconic Arc de Triomphe is complete, thus fulfilling a life-long dream of late Bulgarian-French conceptual artists Christo & Jeanne-Claude.
The landmark was wrapped in 25,000 square meters of fabric in silvery blue, and with 3,000 meters of red rope (of course the french tricolour tone).Transforming this historic monument of Place de l'Étoile temporary into a living object that will move in the wind and reflect the light. With its moving folds, and lead the monument to possess a sensual façade.
The Eternal Flame, in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Arc de Triomphe, continued to burn solemnly throughout the installation, display, and dismantling of the artwork.
No tickets are needed to see, approach, and touch the work of art.
Furnish this art work also show the France-German tie,
At the Slovakian plant of a German company, 3,000 meters of red polypropylene cable are braided;
in Werdau, Germany, blue polypropylene chips are extruded into 12,000 kilometers of filament;
then those yarn are woven into 25,000 square meters of fabric in Greven site.
Once the fabric is woven, it is transported Herbolzheim. At this facility, the fabric is sprayed with pulverised aluminium to give the fabric its silvery blue color.
the Notre Dame fire in 2019 led to fire regulations being tightened. And the team had to re-sample everything again. The fabric had to be coated accordingly to make it non-flammable.
These metallic quality of the silver, with a bluish reflection woven fabrics are made from food-grade polypropylene and 100% recyclable.
The most challenges for technical fabrics to deal with the artist was that it took a long time until the colour was finally right and until the Christo and Jeanne Claude project team had exactly the right feel.
This project started 60 years ago. the posthumous realisation of the artwork, as the highest tribute to the late artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude.
